Absolutely useless information. I have 2 chargers, one is Canon bought with my camera and the other is a cheap Chinese copy. I was hoping there would be some useful information in here, but there is NOTHING. So, blocking this channel as it is obvious it is useless. You never revealed which charger was genuine and which was a copy. Utterly useless.

Hello Jake thanks for the vid you really helped us to not buy a Nissan Leaf it's just the range thing. My wife has a Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 diesel she loves the car and will not part with it, the car has 7 seats we have a large family she does do a lot of miles around town she is a mobile hairdresser and only gets about 37mpg. My larger mobility scooter goes in the back so that's handy. We have had it about 4 years and i have been very impressed with the Hyundai so I purchased her a second car. I purchased the Hyundai i40 tourer it's the 1.7tdi it does about 65 mpg it was top of the range full leather lovely big boot she forgets she has to put diesel in it, BUT she still prefers to drive the Santa Fe. We're planning on going to Scotland in the next couple of weeks and she does do long journeys as well, I do keep my eye on the EV vehicles I've been watching UA-cam about the solid state batteries anyway keep your vids going. PS my largest mobility scooter can do over 30 miles on a charge at a blistering 10mph.

An interesting and informative video. Here in Australia, our wonderful government has mandated that everyone will have a smart meter installed. Unsure about the UK, but we have multiple retailers in every state and electricity pricing is over the top. Apparently in South Australia, they have the most expensive power in Australia. It it's wisdom the various states sold off the grid to private companies. The sale of utilities should have been outlawed, but that's government for you.

I've bought thousands of sets over my life and have had quite a few of them with missing parts and defective parts. I contact Lego customer service and get the replacement parts.I've had sets with 2 of the same door, I've had a set with defective windows, I've had a Star Wars set with a melted R2D2 head and the Spiderman Bridge Battle with 2 sets of leg for green goblin and no torso. I've had other sets missing parts. Lego is far from perfect but I agree that the knock offs are inferior to Lego. I've never bought fake Lego myself but have tried to build it for my nephews and some of the bricks are so poorly made they won't even stick together.

In the USA any income is taxed. there is 2 taxes for those self-employed. 1) is the tax on your income ( there are brackets to tell you how much) typically 28% or higher) 2) the other is the medical, unemployment tax (called FICA) which everybody who receives a paycheck as an employee (15%of your income) and as an employee your employer pays an additional 15% FICA. Since, as a self-employed person, you are both the employer and employee your tax bill is 30% of the income you earned. So, in the US before deductions and expenses were liable for about 60% in taxes. If you can itemize your tax return (most businesses can) there are so many deductible expenses that your total tax burden is between 30 and 60%. As an example; here are a few of the deductible expenses, your accountant, your equipment purchases, car expenses, convention expenses, and even some of your home (including phone) are deductible as expenses to the business. The way we handled it was to immediately split the income upon receipt into two bank accounts. One for FICA the other for personal income. The personal income is paid yearly while the medical (FICA) is transferred into a government account quarterly. Called the Federal Tax Deposit (FTD). Once a year Federal taxes sum up the yearly picture. Usually, the result is you have put too much money into your personal quarterly tax payment, so there is a small balance, which we found is better to leave it alone for emergencies in the future.

One thing I will add, British Gas currently do a EV tariff that is fine with your plug in the wall charger. From midnight to 5am it is only 8p per KW. Which probably translates to around 2p per mile.

Don't worry too much about fast chargers, but try to only 80% when you use them if possible. So on your IKEA trip 115 X 2 = 230 miles. Too far on one charge... but if we divide it by 3... lets call it 80 miles. We can stop and charge to around 80% at around then, it shouldn't take long, pop into ikea, drive back to that charger and top up to the 80% again before driving home. I do a 135 mile trip regularly, it is the only time I slow charge it to 100% before my journey. Just for info, theres a japanese guy who used to do monthly updates fully charging his, he also used to do lots of rapid chargers... he got 200,000 miles out of it in 6 years. I have some experience charging lithium cells, and its a combination of the speed you charge, the speed you discharge and going over about 90% that they start to get hot. Remove one of the three and you will be ok.

LEAF is great in the winter. Heated steering wheel, heated mirrors and seats, and good demisting. The range goes down a bit though when you have the AC+HEAT running on a journey, so watch out for that. Cold temperature also raises the internal resistance in the battery so you end up with slightly less capacity available. Just plan that into your range estimates. Every LEAF owner should install Leaf Spy Pro onto their phone and use a dongle to read the information from the car using the app. Gives you lots of information about the battery health, and other data from the car's sensors. Useful when planning a longer journey and need to keep an eye on battery capacity remaining. The range estimate in the car display is not reliable in comparison.

After 35 years with VW Audi, jumped ship to Mazda 6 2ltr estate. Fed up with the VW and Audi in the garage every few months. Picked up a real gem from the main dealer 3 years ago. 2015, 145 bhp petrol with 7,500 miles on the clock! Belonged to an old couple who didn't use it often. Still had all of the protective plastic from the factory on the inside of the doors and boot. Why it wasn't removed after PDI delivery is a bit odd, but there you go. Proving to be reliable up till now, 30,000 miles covered, main dealer serviced annually. Yeah, there's some odd things with these. Cannot believe there is no low level windscreen washer warning on the dash, thought the pump in the washer bottle had failed the first time the water ran out! Infotainment screen a bit bacic. Agree with the folding mirror button, I'm always driving off with my mirrors folded! I always disable the start/stop as soon as I get in the car, chews batteries starting the engine every time you stop. Nothing else bothers me really. Nice and comfy on a long run. I can get 45 mpg plus at 80 mph on trips to the Lake District with 3 on board and all of our walking kit. Always use premium unleaded petrol, seems to make a difference. All in all, quite pleased and going to get another later modle later this year.

We got an email from our electricity supplier to say we consented to a smart meter. We didnt. We call them and said our panel was already upgraded and we dont want it. They wouldnt listen so I went to the power ombudsman. She was on their side. We have our own solar and batteries. We are now looking at a generator to go off grid.

a toyota hybrid or lexus hybrid are the best mpg and most reliable, plus the value of the car will stay high when you sell it, not a plug in hybrid, but the ones that charge by itself

Don’t look at my smart meter anymore, it’s not accurate and my bill is completely different from what it shows.
